Did you know that 588 campers were served in 2016? The campers came from Oregon (473), Washington (50), Idaho (4), California (1), and Colombia (1). There were 260 counselors, from Portland State University, Pacific University, and Jesuit High School, served as volunteer counselors, to provide our campers with a 1:1 camper/counselor ratio. Each group has 9 campers, 9 counselors, and 2 staff members. The camp has 9 separate camper activities; including adventure course, swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, hiking, fishing, arts and crafts, recreational field games, and white water rafting. The camp sits on 22 acres in the middle of the Mt. Hood National Forest. Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp covers 62% of the actual cost of camp, camp families pay $1,300.00. Over $20,000 in financial aid was awarded to 69 camper families last year.
